Meet the Director: Osiris Estrada

cropped_osiris2_resizeOsiris J. Estrada graduated in 2008 from El Dorado High School in El Paso Texas. When he was 17 years old he participated in a professional camp where he was one of the 3 players recruited to play professionally for Real Magari FC, in Juarez Mexico. At 18 years old, he continued his professional career playing for Pelicanos Neza in Mexico City.

In 2010, Estrada returned to the United States to play two seasons with Cisco College. In his first year, Estrada played in his first conference final with Cisco College and during the same year the team was ranked #11 in the Nation. In 2012, he transferred to Our Lady of the Lake University, an NAIA Division 1 school. Estrada became part of the first team, in the history of Our Lady of the Lake University Men’s soccer, to win both Conference Regular Season and the Conference Tournament. In the same year, the Our Lady of the Lake University Men’s soccer team also made their first appearance in the NAIA Division 1 National Tournament that same year. In 2013, Estrada obtained a Bachelor of Science from Our Lady of the Lake University.

Estrada’s coaching career started in 2008 as an assistant coach, instructing young players every summer in soccer camps that served military families in Fort Bliss in El Paso Texas. In 2013, he became head coach of Kickers Soccer Academy. Following in 2014, he served as head coach for Black Dahlias FC, and he obtained a position as Graduate Assistant coach for both Men and Women’s soccer programs at Our Lady of the Lake University. As a Graduate Assistant, Estrada, has helped the Women’s soccer team to obtain a Conference Championship 3 years in a row. In 2014, he purchased Kickers Soccer Academy and has been working as the Coaching Director developing young players’ soccer skills, as well as, life values. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in the Science of Organizational Leadership. Within the next few years, he hopes to finish his Master’s degree and be accepted in the Doctorial program, while also continuing to develop young players, and to prepare them for a competitive soccer career. In the future, he strives to open a Soccer School Facility in which young players will be able to study and continue to develop their skills as athletes.
